MELODY'S ECHO CHAMBER CROSS MY HEART

It's been 5 years since the release of Melody Prochet's phenomenal self-titled debut Melody's Echo Chamber in 2012, and we've been waiting patiently in the promise of new music. There was a glimmer of hope in 2014, when Prochet briefly released the groovy world-music-inspired single 'Shirim', but now the wait is finally over (we hope). The (once) Parisian multi-instrumentalist dropped her new track 'Cross My Heart' last night as part of her birthday celebrations. The 6-minute psychedelic journey begins in typical Melody's Echo Chamber style circa 2012, as Prochet's sugar-sweet vocals glide over funky bass and flange-effected drums, before veering off into a totally fresh direction for the remainder of the track. Flutes, strings, fuzzed out guitars and percussive drums make up the complex soundscape, ducking and diving in tempo and intensity throughout. In addition to the new music, a representative of Prochet has confirmed news of a new album entitled Bon Voyage, coming out on her own label Rayon Vert in the spring. Excitement is building. -HLMX
